Camden Business Association strives to empower those in our community.

Our Story

The Camden Business Association is a 501C(6) non-profit organization restructured from the former Camden Business & Contractors Association (CBCA) founded in 2015. The new CBA aims to expand our approach, increase resources and build strategic partnerships to benefit all Camden Businesses Contractors, Retailers/Shop Owners, and Professional Services alike.

Our new focus is to build the CBA as the leading business organization providing and facilitating advocacy, education, resources and opportunities for SMWBEs that are located in and/or do business in the great city of Camden.

Our Mission

To provide a voice for Camden and Camden area businesses as a liaison at the city, county and state levels.

To educate, train and prepare Camden and Camden area businesses to be competitive in both the private and public-sector marketplace

To increase the visibility of Camden and Camden area businesses and bridge the gap between engaging and collaborating with local and regional big businesses, agencies and organizations.

To promote, support and actively advocate for local supplier diversity and inclusion in Camden, Camden County and Regional projects and businesses.

When Small Businesses Thrive, Our Community Thrives

According to the U.S. Small Business Administration Office of Advocacy 2018 Small Business Profile, New Jersey has 861,373 Small Businesses that account for 99.6% of the state’s businesses, employing 1.8 million people which is almost half of all New Jersey Employees.

A crucial component of the economic revitalization will be the success and growth of the city’s small businesses. Understanding these needs, the new Camden Business Association is poised to be a catalyst and advocate to help elevate the small business community by promoting a sustainable and flourishing environment for public and private sector relationships, procurement and partnerships, that ultimately create jobs for Camden residents.
